Matt Pietras is a seasoned Life Sciences Executive with experience leading global finance and operating teams through the clinical and commercial development of both therapeutics and diagnostics. Matt has served Life Sciences companies across the entire spectrum of development; from early private start-up, to large public global pharmaceuticals- including a corporate spin-out.  With more than two decades of financial executive experience, Pietras has led private/public capital raising, comprehensive financial operations and business operations. 

Prior to joining On Demand Pharmaceuticals Matt served as a Fractional CFO supporting multiple pre and post revenue emerging Life Sciences Companies, including Carolina BioOncology Institute, BioCytics and several others. Matt was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of StageZero Life Sciences. Prior to joining StageZero Life Sciences, Matt led Finance at CiVi Biopharma and Viela Bio where he was responsible for the design and implementation of the financial operations and preparing the company for its eventual IPO. Matt has held senior finance roles at AstraZeneca/Medimmune, culminating in his position as Global Therapeutic Area Finance Director for the company's Oncology portfolio. Matt began his career in public accounting at KPMG and also held finance roles at Wells Fargo and Wachovia. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and B.S. in International Business from Pennsylvania State University, as well as an M.S. in Biotechnology and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University. Pietras is also a Certified Public Accountant.
